The Indian Navy has commissioned in MARCH 2024 its new submarine-hunter helicopters , the ‘MH-60R Seahawk’ choppers,it is also often referred to as 'Romeo'. The ‘MH-60R Seahawk’ helicopters, which have been manufactured in the United States, made their debut in Kerala as part of the new squadron, the INAS 334. They carries Mark 54 torpedoes and AGM-114 Hellfire precision strike missiles. This submarine targeted  helicopters will be a powerful deterrent to potential hostility in the Indian Navy's area of responsibility,  the entire Indian Ocean. This inclusion is part of India's measure to counter the  continuous perceived threat from Chinese submarines in the region.
